NME has some good stories about Guns N’ Roses' current tour in England and Ireland. First of all they are reporting that the band new line-up (sans Slash of course) has decided to ban anyone coming to their shows from wearing a Slash t-shirt! Isn’t it unbelievable?
According to NME, a member of the venue team explained:‘We were told by the management not to allow anyone into the O2 Arena who is wearing a Slash T-shirt and we are asking anyone who is to remove it and if they refuse they will be turned away.’
And they are not joking about it, as a young guy, who had to remove his Slash shirt before the show, explained: ‘I believe they asked me to do this because Axl Rose has some problem with Slash and if he saw me wearing the shirt he might have stormed off stage.’
This Axl the asshole (it seems to rhyme for good reasons) is out of control! His fans should totally boycott any Guns N’ roses’ show, and this is without saying that he regularly arrives one hour late on stage, forcing people to modify any transportation plans they may have, as not everyone can afford to go home after 2 am!
But when you treat your fans like shit, you may get that shit back to you, and, as a matter of fact, the crowd at the O2 Arena in London began to shower the stage with money (really?) and pint glasses, to the point that the band threatened his fans to end the gig prematurely!
Fans-band relationships are like any other relationships, you have the healthy ones and the destructive-sado-maso ones, Guns N’ Roses have developed this kind of relationship with their fans and Axl is the abusive wife beater in the story.
