Saint Motel's '1997' and Tour Information

The Los Angeles indie band Saint Motel is cooking their official debut album, ‘Voyeur’, which will come out on July 10 via On The Records.

In anticipation of this full-length album, they are giving away their newest song ‘1997’ for a limited time, and you should definitively take advantage of this opportunity as the explosive epic track is as catchy as many of their previous and other energetic songs. It’s a grandiose and triumphant piano-driven cinematic number with warm choruses, carrying some obsessive nostalgia for the title year.

The song is like a dialogue between a son and a mother, as A/J Jackson sings with confidence at the first verse, ‘Well, I've made so many new friends/With open arms they let me in/They say they'll be with me ‘till the end’’, and the mother-like chorus warns him and asks him to stay home with ‘I heard they can't be trusted/I heard they all wear white’… which crowd are they talking about? Was he going to join a cult or a gang? Ha, it’s like entering a story half-way through it!

Here the tracklist of ‘Voyeur’, and people who have attended some of their last dynamic live shows, will recognize a few familiar titles:
