Don’t let the quaint reputation fool you, New England can be beast. We have loads of psychotics hailing from our quiet corners and we may be all foliage and syrup and Pilgrims but for three days this week we turn in to a dark fist fight of sweaty beast proportion.
The Worcester Palladium will host the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. This grimy venue will hours 3 days of hardcore thrashing mayhem and I’m predicting allot of kicked out teeth and lost shoes. rocknyc will be there all three days to catch the scene as this Festival slams in to action.
The difference in this Festival is that it is contained. Unlike outdoor fest this is indoors and I cannot imagine how incredibly hot it’s going to get. Doors open at 1pm and with over 25 bands a day the recipe for insanity is packed tight.
The lineup is insane. Most fests have ‘good days’ and some rather tame ones the Hardcore and Metal Fest jumps up and kicks your ass from day one. Fridays acts include, Lionheart, Carnifex, This is Hell, The Acacia Strain and The Black Dahlia Murder.
Saturday has God Forbid, Structures, Bane, and All That Remains, Sunday the ridiculous Killswitch Engage and Vanna, Chelsea Grin, Mychild Mybride, Emmure. It’s insane line up that should not be missed.
