1. A Woman Left Lonely – Janis Joplin – When it came to recording Pearl, Janis was attempting to go back to the way she sang at the begining. On stuff life the verses in "Bobby McGee" and the verses here, which for all their immesaurable power, are relatively subdued. Grade: A

2. Your Fucking Sunny Day – Lambchop – There is not a chance in hell, they played this last night. grade: A

3. Old And Gray – Maps And Atlases – One of the best songs of the year, an off kilter day dream of a song. Grade: A

4. Listen Up – Oasis – The problem with Beady Eye, and Noel Gallagher's solo effort for that matter, is they don't know how to record the guitars like this. Grade: A+

5. Cough Syrup – Young The Giant – Dunno why, but these guys remind me of Cold War Kids – grade: B+

6. Lessons In Love -Neon Trees – wait a second, what the hell is Kaskade doing on here? – Grade: B+

7. The Walk – Mayer Hawthorne – "From the moment that I met you I thought you were fine, but your fucking shitty attitude has got me changing my mind".

8. Winter – Maps And Atlases – that's two for two -this one has better arrabgement, worse song -Grade: B+

9. It's A Man's Man's Man's World – Katharine McPhee – Somebodies punling me, right? – Grade: D

10. You Won't Regret It – Ceu – Should keep to Spanish, but if you can get past the lyric, it has a rockabilly swing -grade: B+
