Orlando Calling, No Wait, It’s Not

The two day “Orlando Calling” music festival just got cancelled   Why? Light ticket sales.  Organizer Melvin Benn lost more than $2 million dollars on the fest.  What a shame.  A good solid summer music festival can be an amazing experience.  With the proper execution and support these are must see events.

Hmm wonder what could have prevented Orlando Calling from happening.  Lets see, great weather, super location could it be the line up?  Kid Rock?  Doobie Brothers?  The Roots? Wait.. maybe Bob Seger?

They tried to soften that crap line up with The Raconteurs (didn’t they break up?), The Killers (didn’t they break up?) and hillbilly Blake Shelton.

Wow, you’d think this one would be a sure fire hit in Florida!

But its officially not happening according to their FaceBook  page
“Unfortunately Orlando Calling will not be happening this year, but we are continuing to have discussions in the city to see if there is an opportunity to bring it back in 2013. We will keep you updated on any developments.”

Funny how the Night Moves….
