Madonna is a ‘fucking IDIOT’ according to Deadmau5, the house music producer had a series of 'good' things to say about the 53-year-old entertainer via Facebook and Twitter after she asked the crowd, at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival: ‘How many people in this crowd have seen molly?’ molly being a slang word for MDMA aka ecstasy….
‘Very classy there madonna. "HUR DUR HAS ANYONE SEEN MOLLY???" such a great message for the young music lovers at ultra. quite the f'n philanthropist. but hey, at least yer HIP AND TRENDY! fucking cant smack my head hard enough right now.’ wrote Deadmau5 on his Facebook page on Monday.
I believe she was publicizing her new album, molly, MDMA, MDNA, but was it responsible? Her question was followed by the crowd cheering up, and I seriously doubt they were cheering up for her new album. Anyway it was a stupid question, asking an electronic music festival crowd if they have been taking ecstasy is like asking Rastafarians if they have been smoking Marijuana!
But Deadmau5 was mad, showing his disapproval about this drug-dance-music association, even saying via Twitter ‘i'd give up my entire career to remove the fucking rampant stupidity thats plagued my favorite type of music in an INSTANT.’
He went on and on, even wrote a long follow-up blog post, and Madonna reacted, sending him this picture showing the following text:
‘From one mouse to another. I don't support drug use and I never have. I was referring to the song called 'Have You Seen Molly' written by my friend Cedric Gervais who I almost worked with on my last album …’
To what Deadmau5 answered:
‘Fair enough, i was just voicing my concerns as i usually do. +1 respect for clearing it up personally.’
So he went from ‘fucking idiot’ to ‘respect’ in one tweet? I thought he was fast at giving in…. Honestly, how many people in the crowd knew about the song she is talking about? And Madonna was well aware of this.
