Thick as a Brick Tour, But No Jethro Tull

In honor of the 40th anniversary of the epic album "Thick As a Brick", there will be a tour! A tour in which the album wil be performed in order and in it's entirety.  Coolness.

But what?  There will be no Jethro Tull, it will be Ian Anderson, flautest and leader of the iconic 70s band.    Anderson who would get his beard in a bundle if you called him Jethro, has now decided its best he take over this one.

Why?  Quoting Anderson,
“Back in 1972, when I tried to play Thick as a Brick live on stage in the USA, it turned into the tour from hell,” he said. “I decided never to do that again.”

He's a bit of a snoot if you ask me, this is America, we're never wrong.  Guess what his beef was.."According to Anderson, some members of the audience would “hoot and whistle” during the quieter moments. The experience disheartened the singer to the point that he didn’t even want to be in a rock band anymore, although he ended up soldiering on with Jethro Tull."

Yet the sound of coin flowing into his pocket was welcomed. But he will performThick solo because “the audiences that I attract as Ian Anderson have come to listen to the music and have the sensitivity to keep quiet at the appropriate moments.”

and the mortgage is due.  I'd go to this, he's killer live.  He's a bit of a tool but, arent most old geezers?
