Jay-Z At Carnegie Hall? No Thanks…

Following on the news that Bruce Springsteen ticket sales were a fiasco on Friday, with ticket scalpers sophisticated software leaving the average punter without a chance in hell (except for me apparently, I got two tix) of squirreling a tix till it came to the MSG dates, by which time they had fxed the hole where the brokers were raping and pillaging, comes. Now comes  news that I kinda doubt anybody is getting tix to Jigga's Carnegie Hall  gigs. By the time I got on line, the cheaapest available seat was $750. Partial views (not available) were $500.

To be honest, I don't care that much. I've seen Jay-Z many, many, many times (though if it was Kanye…) and decided to try for a tix less because I want to go and more to see what would happen. So on Monday at 11am on the dot, I threw caution to the wind and… couldn't get on the website. For an hour.

Again, if I really cared I would have done what I did for Ryan Adams -jumped in the subway and hightailed it to the box office. But, really I don't think I can take another Jigga concert right this minute, so I consider this more q scientific experiment in futility… At $750? I don't think so. .By the way I could have gone to see Mumford And Sons, Coldplay and, er, Jon Stewart, at Amnesty International's "The Policeman's Ball". Thankfully, the $550 cost stopped me. I chose not to go.

Any other gigs I think I'm gonna pass on? Feist at Radio City Music Hall. I am really not sure why I don't like her, the metals album wasn't that bad. So I DON'T THINK, I'm gonna go, unless my interest gets the better of me.
