“Drummer_Young_Free.” Beatle Letter Auctioned Off

Christiesis on fire with more Beatlemania, this time a letter.

A letter offering Beatles try outs brought in $55,400 bucks at the poshy auction. The note had been found in a book being sold at a Liverpool tag sale.

The letter is dated 8/12/60 two years before Pete Best was tossed aside for Ringo Starr

This actually fell short of the $11k estimate that the auction house had expected. As is usually the case the winning bid was ‘anonymous’. Perhaps the same bloke who scored Lennons tooth in a previous auction.
