Could this be a reunion announcement? The date 11/11/11 has been declared 'National Heavy Metal Day' by none other than VH1. Wasn't VH1 the softer side of MTV? I have no idea how a cable network can call a holiday but its pretty funny.
Word is the four original BS members will be making some big announcement, according to the press release the band will make a "special announcement at the same location where the influential band made their Los Angeles debut on November 11, 41 years ago."
Henry Rollins will host the event. Who the hell hosts a press conference??
Bassist Vegan Geezer Butler made an earlier statement "I would like to make it clear, because of mounting speculation and rumors, that there will definitely be NO reunion of all four original members of Black Sabbath, whether to record an album or to tour."
Guitarist Tony Iommi stated "It's all been very hush-hush," he said. "Ozzy's been the worst at holding it back…We're really looking forward to it and I think the stuff we're writing is really good. It's more back to the old original stuff."
Then back peddled like a mo'fo with ""There is no status at the moment," he said. "That's something that can always happen. We just get on with it and see what happens."
Well its just a few days away- and they arent getting any younger, so we will know soon enough.
