The Crazy World of Arthur Brown were apparently knee deep into dementia. Get a load of this video. First to explain, Iman and I get on song kicks, we can rarely survive a conversation without it becoming a game of "add a song lyric" and for some reason this came up today. Neither of us could figure out who it was but the keyboard riff was more than memorable.
So of course, I'm sent on the mission to find the artist and thanks to the magic of YouTube I score a video of the freak show. Even Wikipedia doesnt know that to call them other than a psychedelic band. Arthur is still around near 70 years old and still 'fringe' I suppose, as much as possible on Geritol but I tell you there is nothing really to compare to the song "Fire".
The theatrics are dated but even more disturbing than Marilyn Mansons photography tricks. This guy is just scary The song is brilliant.
