I don’t know why I am writing this post as I couldn’t care less for the Super Bowl or for Madonna. But I suppose it is some kind of big news for the immaterial girl and the NFL world: she is rumored to have been booked to perform during the Super Bowl halftime show, the most watched sport event of the year.
It’s still a rumor as most websites and blogs are still keeping a question mark at the end of their sentence, and Entertainment weekly is reporting that Madonna’s rep have ‘nothing to confirm at this point’.
She is currently recording a new album, due for Spring 2012, and that would be an excellent promo, but do football fans even like Madonna? I mean she is not really the type, she is no muscular-heartland rock Springsteen or classic-rock Who/Rolling Stones, or even southern-rock Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers,… Oh I know they had his majesty Prince before, so may be they are ready for part-time British royalty.
