Ed Sullivan Shows Starring The Rolling Stones

The Ed Sullivan show had the best timing.  A cheeky variety show that was able to snag some of the most incredible talent and get it all on tape.  There will never be a time or a simplicity like that again.  Less airbrushed and more simplistic any band that was anything made it to that 'really big shoooo' and now at last we get the ultra packaged mega editions.  November 1 will get us The Rolling Stones 17 performances all in one box.

According to Billboard:

“The best Rolling Stones TV performances are on these shows,” Andrew Solt, the executive producer of the sets, told Billboard. “On the concert films and on other shows you don’t get the same production values, and here the sound is as good as the visuals. … Groups knew they would appear in front of 35 million people so they rehearsed and made sure they would look good before going on. Knowing they were playing live on TV made them do their best.”

There is a preview set due in late October, 4 of the episodes but hold your dime and wait for November 1 for the whole enchilada.
