"Red Nation", Game & Lil Wayne: another view

There is alot of buzz about "Red Nation' and far be it from me to not hop on the band wagon to see what its all about.

To preface this I must say that there are certain elements that are mandatory for me to appreciate hip hop as a whole.  It must have a great lyric with stand out quotes that I can throw about in social circles, it must have a boatload of cursing and most of all it must have the right tone of voice to deliver it.

"Red Nation',opens up with a great chant that can be used at any stadium if cleaned up, I have a funny feeling it will be as well.  Indians perhaps?  Yeah.  Lyrics are outstanding, there is no debating how perfect they are.  Lil Wayne?  That man is insane in the best of ways.  Rap has to be dirty, it has to be dangerous and it has to be disturbing.  Weez delivers that like a pizza on Super Bowl Sunday- nothing better.

The problem, is Game.  At times it almost seems as if he is reading.  Ok, hes not, he's a pro and all that jazz, but to me, it lacks the smooth rhythmic speech that turns a monolog into music.  I'm sorta disappointed cuz if the right lips were behind the mic, this could be one of my favorite songs.

Peace…

Post Script, I just watched the video.  What a great visual strong, dangerous and disturbing- yet Game, just  sorta showed up.   click here http://www.kovideo.net/red-nation-video-the-game-1232516.html
