I am not a fan of the band, but this seems like a good idea: Linkin Park has launched a ‘Take the Challenge’ operation and by clicking on the link indicated on this page http://www.give2gether.com/projects/music-for-relief and by following the instructions, (create your own fundraising page, and raise $500 or more), you will earn 2 tickets to their ‘secret’ show on August 31st at the Mayan, a relatively small venue, in Los Angeles.
The more you raise, the better, since you could also win VIP access, memorabilia, and a meet & greets the band.
But the most interesting part of all this is that 100% of the money raised will go Japan and will ‘benefit children affected by the earthquake & tsunami to provide child care services and financial support to children at risk of not continuing their studies, psychological support as well as play zones for those who cannot play outside due to radiation fears.’
There is not much time left and only the first 500 people to reach the goal, will get to see the show. This kind of initiative is very good of course, at the condition that 100% of the money is really going to Japan.
