‘Absolutely that is what we are talking about that the moment, it felt exciting doing that and it felt like we had something else to offer musically. It just felt like a new lease of life in what we are doing, and we would like to see where that takes us,’ said drummer Philip Selway to BBC 6 Music.
The band released The King of Limbs earlier this year and their Glastonbury appearance was the first one in more than 18 months.
However, if they tour, I already see the scene, tickets will be sold in less than one minute, they will be overpriced and the venues will be very large (may be again the Hollywood Bowl here in Los Angeles?). They will obviously play a lot of KOL’s songs, but since the album has only 8 songs, anything can go after this to make up a full setlist.
I saw them in 2008 during their tour to support ‘In Rainbows’, and they have played only a few dates in 2010. No doubt they are awaited like the Messiah’s return.
