Tyson Ritter Whipped his Can at the Crowd

Tyson Ritter is getting sued for throwing a can of Monster into the crowd and hitting a fan in the head.  The frontman of The All American Rejects allegedly did this at last years Warped Tour.

Took a year for the ink to dry on the paperwork cuz I'm just hearing of it now.

I have often thought it rather stupid for bands to whip water bottles at the crowd.  I suppose they're giving them much needed hydration but it really sort of grosses me out to see the front man sing, take a swig  and toss the bottle to the pit.  I also get the gag reflex working when bands spit water on the crowd.  I will tell you right this minute that the only spit I have ever coveted is that of Joe Strummer (long story ain't goin in to it here but I think I may still have it).  I have never been spit on by a musician, let me rephrase that.  I have never stood in an audience and gotten spit upon by the band.  Should that ever happen I promise you I will return the favor even if I have to scale a fat guy in a 'Staff' t-shirt.

Its not wise to throw things at your fans in the first place but lets just say he was sharing his drink.  Well that is why you have to be careful where you stand and be alert.  Especially at Warped.  Its a hot filthy massive crowd something has to go wrong at some point.

What makes me hate the woman doing this is that she is also suing Monster Energy Drink and Warped Tour as she is now permanently scarred.  Welcome to America we will sue you if your dog craps on our lawn.

Any public event musical or otherwise involves some degree of risk.  If Celine Dionne whipped a can of Fresca and hit me in the head- I'd be shocked and I might kick her ass but its the unexpected that makes it note worthy.

Getting hit with anything at Warped is pretty much a given.  Its not cool that she got hit but its also not Warped Tours fault she did.  There are plenty of waivers and legal bla bla bla on a ticket.. they're not responsible if you lose your camera either.

You enter a rock show at your own risk.  Its an unfortunate accident that occurred from a dumb move from a lame band… carry on. If she wins a cent, our entire legal system is a freakin joke.
