I remember last year, Weezer was playing and it took me about an hour to find a place to park, then about 45 minutes to walk to the stage (I had to park very far!)… It was insanely crowded, I only got a glimpse of Rivers’ yellow jacket from far away. There were people everywhere, but not your every day people, they were all young, blond, tanned from head to toe, flip-flop and Hurley pants wearing, sunblock and marijuana smelling.
The US Open of Surfing, the largest surf competition in the world, is back at Huntington Beach from July 30th to August 7th, and this year, MGMT, Jimmy Eat World, Surfer Blood (really?), the Sounds and Dead Country are announced.

The concerts are held on the beach and totally free, at condition you make it though the crowd.
