Not for nothing, and nobody wants 78 year old Willie Nelson decomposing in prison when we can watch him decomposing on stage, but, really, if you are letting Willie plead no contest to possession of drug paraphernalia, isn't it time to rap this crap up and let everybody out of the fucking jails?
How is Willie Nelson NOT GUILTY? What is not and guilty doing in the same sentence when sentencing Nelson, the token saint of weed? here is his explanation and it is the type of answer only possible from a deep dish pot head: "I had been in California hanging out for a while and my bus had come out to pick me up because we had a couple of tour dates to do and I had forgotten that there was this little bag of weed on the bus that had been in the back there for weeks when I had been gone".
THAT'S AN EXPLANATION? Sure sounds like an admission of guilt to me.
No, I am not a Willie Nelson fan. Yes, my idea of hell would be a lifetime of watching Neil Young and Willie Nelson in a tandem of four hour epic acoustic sets (all the good new stuff, of course).
But no I don't want Willie in prison.
I want everybody else, out.
