Hinder Robbing the Rich and Giving to the poor

Hinder, the hard rock 'post grunge' band from Oklahoma never really landed in my iPod.  They're one of those bands that I'm pretty sure I have seen about 10 times but have left no impression on me.  We all have bands in our repertoire that are somewhat like a friend of a friend who always shows up at the same party, but you never speak to.

Hinder is keeping it real for the little guy.  We have discussed the incredible financial burden of seeing concerts.  There is also the financial investment of the performers to caravan these things.  I don't think the kids from Hinder are Ivy League scholars but I must appreciate the thought behind the words

Said Mike Rodden of Hinder:
“Times are tough and people still want to see rock shows, so if we can help pot with the ticket prices and get people to come out, we’ll do what ever we can.
“We’re feeling it too; it’s pretty out of control”

Organizers wanted to keep prices fixed at $25 and $30 for the event headlined by Hinder and with Seether, Sick Puppies and local band Wayland also on the bill, so the bands agreed to play for reduced fees.  That's pretty impressive.  Reducing your profit for the benefit of your fans is the ultimate in give back and as a band gets you some high five good press.  Seriously, how can anyone say your awful if you're going to take a loss so someone can buy a ticket?

But here is where Hinder becomes not so much a martyr but a real legit group of humans.  Touring with majors like Nickelback, Rodden said:
“The Nickelback boys are always fun, because they’ve got endless amounts of money, so we can pretty much do as we want – that’s always fun!“They’re taking us pretty much everywhere you can imaging and they’re always picking up the bill”

Maybe these guys are alot smarter than I've given them credit for.
