Well here we are at the season finale of SNL. Its mixed emotion really. Mixed feelings of total elation and euphoria that I don't have to sit through these God awful acts every week. How this all began I don't recall and Iman and I are both creatures of habit- without routing he and I get a bit disorientated.
We have seen so many people from Kanye to Katy and not one act blew me away, A few made me ill though. I suppose we will have to find a new tradition for the summer.
Lady Gaga is still selling out stadiums, and the pop icon of our time. She still wears silly outfits but now wants to be taken more seriously as she exhibited in her ridiculous 'don't ask don't tell' tirade. People slept on the streets to watch this tonight, me I poured a water with lemon and filed my nails. I'm not blown away. I jumped on the Gaga fan train for a few minutes but I hopped off it. Its all the same only a bit more sterile now.
Tonights guest is Justin Timberlake. He's a musician with an incredible sense of humor. I think some of my favorite skits on modern day SNL involve him. So as we wind up the season its Iman and I shooting from the hip and giving you the blow by blow. The world didn't end, how could it? Gaga hadn't gotten her mug SNL til now.
She did a hell of a job as a wine cork and the vixen in a 3 way- but what the hell…
Jumping from mellow piano and heartfelt voice she threw herself and a bunch of out of shape dancers in to perform "Judas".
Ok I take that back only the girls need more tone.
Thanks to Iman I know that the song "Edge of Glory" has morphed into "Judas",
Iman stated he liked this song and that this performance is better than the HBO special. After 6 months off, Gaga seems to be back.
Well if only for the night.
Shes pretty good at the comedy thing, maybe Justin is showing her how its done.
I really only like her shoes.
Iman adds: Song # 2 is a fairly useless :Born This Way" taken quite literally with Gaga giving birth in a latex body suit… A bad song, badly performed… the album is out on tuesday…
