Black Cards' demo for "Paradox" has surfaced. I've come to a realization. I'd love to be a fan. I'd love to go to Black Cards' shows and sing along and love them. But I don't.
Perhaps it's the singer. She's talented, and has a nice voice, but I can't relate to girl singers. They're just not for me.
They never have been, except two times One, when I was seven, and liked Hilary Duff. The other is Avril, when I was about 10. Both those phases passed and hearing them now makes me wretch.
I'd love to find a female to inspire me, I love to sing, but I have yet to find one that doesnt bore me to tears. Pop vocals of course, theater vocals a totally different realm.
Other than that, the instruments aren't anything special, and the lyrics are nice and that's this song's one saving grace. It's mediocre, with promising words.
I'm not a fan, but maybe you are.
