"It's every band's right, you shouldn't have to do fucking Glee," Grohl said. "And then the guy who created Glee is so offended that we're not, like, begging to be on his fucking show… fuck that guy for thinking anybody and everybody should want to do Glee."
This is one of the funniest quotes I have seen in a long time. Here Dave Grohl goes slightly postal on the topic of the television show Glee.

Joining Slash, Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Foo..as the Glee resistance (well Coldplay sorta folded and sacrificed Chris Martins wife Gwenyth Paltrow to boot!) what do all these bands have in common? Former extreme glory that sorta flickers now.
I don't want to call any of them has beens cuz they're not. Aside from KOL they all have gotten a kind word from me at one time or another.
But they are not very 'now' so to speak.
Could that be the angst? The past prime suggestion to join the trend catch the rising star theory?
I hope its not the "we're too good for you" mentality. Within just a few years, if not months, all of these bands could be in the discount rack or the lowly $6.99 download equivalent.
What grabs me here is the utter out of tolerance hate spew as if there is a slight back story to this. I totally want to know what it is now cuz anything that inspires dropping the F bomb that many times has to be a good one.
Glee is not my scene. I have never liked it and I have never said a nice thing about it ever- but whatever the creator Ryan Murphy or the show itself to did to Grohl, its gotta be pretty fun.
