– Little Sister – Queens Of The Stone Age – I couldn’t take their last album but this one from 2005 is a doozy at least until they go riff mental… their glam instincts would work for em if they left it… nice bridge – B+
– Lucky Star – Madonna – Part children’s nursery rhyme, part refracted self portrait, part love song, all topnotch dance pop triumph – A+
– Newmeyer’s Roof – Craig Finn – His 9-11 song, not bad either. If this was Christian Contemporary Music, it would be the best imaginable. Ity reminds me of “Honolulu Blues” only not as good – A-
– Night Nurse – Gregory Isaacs – His breakthrough, the Cool Ruler works a slow tempo dubby lover’s rock into the clubs – A
– Gunga Din – The Libertines – Awful racket by a band who wants knew how to do this stuff – C-
– Iconic – Madonna – Chance The Rapper? Good idea, not great execution – B-
– Pretty Faced Fool – Jewel – Look, you can’t feel bad for the rodeo rider -he had heard her before he married her and knew what to expect – D
– Impressive Instant – Madonna – One of her greatest moments: “I Wanna sing sing sing, like a bird on the wingy wingy wingy….” – A
– Perth – Beirut – Sweet flowy and easy darn going with a baritone on top – B+
– Feel Good For The Summer – Queens Of The Stone Age – Cool for the summer drug song – A-
