Empire Of The Clouds – Iron Maiden – Mammoth end of the album juggernaut in two movements with a piano motif to open and close and a full throttle juggernaut of riffs right down the middle. Ambitious to a fault – B

Goodbye – John Pizzarelli, Ed Laub – Glorious fairtheewell, acoustic giant meets an acoustic no slouch – B+

Bad Habits – Fidlar – A self portrait of early 20s pop stars doing what they want, from a good album I really couldn’t find the time to listen to properly – B

Searching The Blue – The Arcs – From a minor but not unpleasant album, the song is strong enough but the arrangement is a little wonky – C+

Plans – Oh Wow – 80sish synth and beat popsters but they don’t really sound old fashioned, it is a soaring subtlety – B+

Never Catch Me – Travis Scott – The travails of stardom, but Scott knows his way apparently. This is a minor ending – C+

Outro – Scarface – Loops back to the opening with ten seconds of silence in between – C+

The Acceptance – Dam-Funk – 90 minutes in and he still has 6 minutes left to go. – C

Shoom – Public Image Ltd – Jazzy ending – C+

Not That Easy – Diane Coffee – The Foxygen guy, a very pretty pop track – B

Tracers – Painted Palms – Indie pop guys, not one of their best – C+

Devastator – The money Pit – bland enough rocker – C+

Repeat – Lou Barlow – Somewhat apt since it sounds like everything else he does and everything else he does is alright with me – B

All Gone Away – Tommy Keene -A little darker than the rest of the album – B+

No Closer to Heaven – The Wonder Years – What is it about Soupy Campbell that reminds me of a twelve year old boy who has just realized there might not be an afterlife? – B-
