– U Mad – Vic Mensa – With Kanye West, on this terrific piece of rap genius, Kanye’s verse is a good low key rhymin’ but Vic hits it out of the park: “All praise to Allah, not Ramadan but these bitches fast…” Sure, it’s the usual shit but very well done – B+
– No Chill – Vic Mensa – Skrillex produced this huge song from the new Roc Nation signing, this should break out for sure – A-
– Down On My Luck – Vic Mensa – Three in a row with this excellent funky work out, great song. Nice flow and funky rap, great song break. Where is Fran Ocean? These two would be great together – B+
– Superpower – Beyonce – With Frank Ocean, it has been three years since his album dropped and his disappearance (except for this, which is simply great) has always hinted at hip hop homophobia, this is the only sighting and it is great – A
– XO – John Mayer – Another guy who has lowered his public image the past coupla years, this sounds like Nielssen covering Bey, the harp at the intro coulda jumped ship from “Everybody’s Talkin’ – A+
– XO – Beyonce – Her masterpiece – A+
– How Deep Is Your Love – Calvin Harris, Disciples – Not for nothing but this ain’t gonna cut it – C+
– How Deep Is Your Love – Bee Gees – It is simple, if you can’t compete with this, don’t call it this – A+
– Free Fallin’ – John Mayer – Live in LA, pretty darn straight as well – A-
– Don’t Do Me Like That – Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers – Third song I ever learnt on guitar – A+
