Conquerors – The Darkness – In which the Glam Goth bore boys of rock go out in a hail of heavy duty overdone bullets over London, all Queen like “We Are The Champions” but they still can’t sell it to the masses – C
This Is My First Day And I’m Indian And I Work At A Gas Station – Sun Kil Moon – Never before has the name of a song told you everything you need to know about a musician: this is self indulgent folk and a bore but with a point of view – C+
The Only Man Wilder Than Me – Willie Nelson And Merle Haggard – The duo have a little snooze before the show ends, the title is a put on – C+
Each Day – Simply Red – Jesus fucking Christ, kill me now – D+
“blind” – Soak – She is eighteen years old and it is past her afternoon nap – C+
All My Love – Major Lazer – Arianna Grande adds her voice and it is a nice one, it has character, unlike this crappy reggae track – C-
I Like That You Can See It – Girlpool – I swear these people have been listening to “Steady With the Maestro” non stop through their preteen years… maybe their Grandparents are Roches fans. This is terrific, plain and simple – A
Tired Of Fighting With You – Bare Naked Ladies This is a lovely song, a moving closer, though, of course, he is nothing of the sort. Still, it is hauntingly ethereal melody, like a waking dream – B
Up Yours – Armored Saint – There is something so old fashioned about this hair metal rock out, it is like it stumbled out of “Rock Of Ages”, kitsch has never been cooler – B
Untitled – Algiers – Some noisiness to take us into that dark night – C+
