Thursday will be the fourth time I am seeing Ed Sheeran, first time at Mercury Lounge in a tiny gig at Mercury Lounge, second time, the best time I’ve seen him, opening for Taylor Swift at Prudential, third time at Metlife where he almost collapsed from the heat and Taylor talk him down, and now at Forest Hills.
The one man band has grown from strength to strength, and in July has sold out four nights at Wembley Stadium. X has been in the charts for over a year in the UK.
I like the kid a lot, but don’t love him, still he has a handful of cracker songs. Two of his best songs are here, one of them “Even My Dad Does Sometimes” is MIA. Plus a little skimpy? I figure he is giving 90 minutes.
