Now that the Grammys are really really over, this is what I have to say:
1 – Rhiannon Giddens for best pop vocalist 2015 (pop -yeah, what else?)
and
2 – If Taylor doesn’t win song and album of the year in 2015, I am gonna start blaming some people i this room and then I don’t forgive. I mean I love “Stay with Me” and sure I do but “Shake me Off” was a huge song and a national anthem: it was like a novelty song that wasn’t a novelty.
In the meanwhile, here is further proof with the great Charli XCX’s cover of “Shake It Off” where she just about maitains the melody but speeds it way up and let’s it evolve into a beats heavy remix, punk by nature but not be birth, it is like the Ramones meet Morodor meets Joan Jett circa her poppy rocky “I Love Rock N Roll” Best.
Sure hope Charli decides to release it as a single.
