Not only am I no longer a movie guy, I am no longer even a reading guy, music and writing (and my job in advertising) takes up, I dunno, all my time? So I’ve been trying to carve out some time to catch “American Sniper” for WEEKS now but no… i can’t do it. And I don’t even like Noah Baumbach so figure the chances of me gloming on to a movie that had me checking my watch before the coming attraction was over.
So it is on to the soundtrack and really, if I can buy “Mrs. Vanderbilt” and “Let ‘Em In” for a movie what the fuck do I need James Murphy and yeah, I loved the James Murphy remix of “Love Is Lost” but a cover of “Golden Years? I don’t know about that at all. It is like they have redefined compile. Or maybe it isn’t him at all, it says here he did the Original (incidental?) music? Good, this is what he killed off LCD Soundsystem for? Well, done Jimmy. Oh, and I dislike Haim on principle as wella s not much caring for the album OR the live show.
Here is the tracklist and the coming attractions:
