1 – Both Sides Now – Alva Leigh featuring Natalie Prass – It isn’t Joni’s fault this became a huge fucking cliche, it is everybody else’s faults. Including “moody quirky” Alva, and Jenny Lewis back up I’m ready for my close up Mr. DeMille Natalie Prass. Sure, a cliche and a half. Still, the voices are pretty amazing – B+
2 – Strictly 4 My Jeeps – Action Bronson – I know he has more than this for sure, but I can’t find em – A
3 – Allie – Belle And Sebastian – Disastrous – C-
4 – Red House – Jimi Hendrix – He sounds like the Grandfather of jay Z swagger here -he swaggers even when he swaggers, dick first insolence- A
5 – Save The Children – Joey Basa$$ – Love the jazzy backing track, less thrilled by the sex lyrics – B+
6 – Drown Soda – Hole – This isn’t a minor Cobain masterpiece, it is a major one and when Is aw Courtney perform her take at the MTV Unplugged taping it was also major – A+
7 – Carolina Low – The Decemberists – Sucky blues folk – C
8 – Roller Coaster – Matt Whipkey – as we ready ourselves for the new album, this track off the last album feayures some gorgeous steel guitar – B+
9 – Blank Space – Taylor – the question, is many a true word said in jest or is she completely funning her public image… – A+
