With my PC down (though I hope to get it back today), I am at working trying to nail down tomorrow’s stories as fast as possible, so please excuse this exceptionally irrelevand post, stolen off gigwise, with barely a second thought.
Here is the songlist from London’s count down to New Year 2015, punctuated by fireworks and lota other good stuff… and here is a question, why is the lead song by an American? Sure, as European an American as you can possibly get but even so… Plus I Spotified and reviewed it…
1. Cast of Sweeney Todd 2012: ‘No Place like London’ – I got the original broadway version but what difference does it make. I was on a Sondheim binge any way because of Into the Woods and see no reason to stop now – A

Led Zeppelin: ‘Whole Lotta Love’ – hall Of fame careers have been born with much less – A+
Flanagan & Allen: ‘Maybe It’s Because I’m a Londoner’ – Davy Jones used to kill this one – A+

Sigma: ‘Nobody to Love’- Drum N Bass go mainstream – B
Jungle: ‘Busy Earnin’’ – The album was a disappointment by the way – B+
Ella Henderson: ‘Glow’ – I’m guessing they meant this not “Glow” – B+
Katie Melua: ‘Keep the Home Fires Burning’ – WW1 – B
ELO: ‘Last Train To London’ – Ooooh, another Londonphilliac track – B
ELO: ‘Shine a Little Love’ – Sounds like Abba at first – B+
Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj: ‘Bang Bang’ – Better this than Bruno Mars – B+
Kate Bush: ‘Wow’ – See, if she had played nyc we would still be talking about her – B+
Orbital: ‘Doctor?’ – I can’t find Orbital’s version of the Doctor Who theme, so this will have to do – A

Calvin Harris ft. John Newman: ‘Blame’ Not bad, it’s just that we’re used to it now – B
