Let Me Be The River – Willie Nile –  A completely awesome send off, just a lovely lullabye – B+

Seeds – TV On The Radio – the backing track sounds like JAMC only without guitars, it vibrates on this first rate ballad, the entire album is a wonderful thing. Given the time, it could be emerge as one of the very best of the year – A

Golden State – RL Grimes – A slow build to a stirring beat cresting farewell – B

Act My Age – One Direction – Long term love from imagined future – B+

Sin City – Nickelback – Again, not terrible blues workout – B-

American Beauty – Girlpool – This years Haim, and more. A really good rock blues folk duo with smart lyrics – B+

YFL – Futurecop! – Haunted mood music – B-

I Owe It All – Fred Hammond – To who? A rouser – B

In Her Arms You will Never Starve – Snoozing but pretty – C+

Saving Yourself – The Buzcocks – I don’t wanna review this… – D+

Send In The Clowns – Bryan Ferry – Hard to go wrong, so Ferry doesn’t – B-

Dayzed In Daydreams – Ariel Pink – Not another dog – C-
