The Governors Ball presale is Thursday (here).
Governors Ball happens at Randalls Island every early June. No camping on site, I walk over the bridge to the subway to get home. It is the perfect way to see the music festival and ps? Goooo.
The Festival is June 5 through June 7.
The lineup is unknown but undoubtedly mindboggling.
I can’t recommend the VIP Three day pass, $615 if you go presale and worth every penny. But I’m an old guy who needs the amenities, if you’re a youngster the $285 (presale including everything) is a great deal. GA sold out last year and I bet VIP will as well (it did for certain days).
Festivals echo Spotify, you sample the acts and stay with what is best and last year? Skrillex, Vampire weekend, the Strokes, Jack white, Outkasts… and they were only the biggest names. This year we don’t know yet but absolutely I will be huge, huge, huge.
I will definitely try and buy the presale Thursday at noon and will also try and get press credentials. But it isn’t worth the slightest risk of missing it, so if I get em I’ll sell my three day pass and if I don’t, I won’t care. As long as it doesn’t rain all weekend (like the godawful 2013 gig).
Summer is almost here and along with CMJ the best festival of the year is back. Don’t miss it.
