1. Left My Heart In Brooklyn – Meghann Wright – The ending of this song, a litany of places in Brooklyn where she left her heart, is just one reason to be really psyched to check her out at CMJ next week – B+

2. Happy Birthday, Sweet Sixteen – Neil Sedaka – Somewhere between paedophilia and young love, Neil pitches woo – A

3. Girl Chase Boys – Ingrid Michaelson – Nice lick – B

4. Fire – Vince Staples – This year’s Freddie Gibbs – B

5. If You Let Me take Your Heart – Moniqua – Drum machines and soulful singing – B+

6. It’s Horseshit – Electric Shit – terrific rocker with a great chorus, “numbers go down, it’s horse shit” – B+

7. Red Voodoo – Sammy Hagar – Country rocker – B

8. Upside Down And Inside Out – OK Go – This is a disappointment, or would be if I expected more I wonder what the video is like – C+

9. Blinded – The Bots – on the other hand, this is a very real disappointment, a major bore by a duo who should be big time – C+

10. Always and Forever – Grace Mitchell – Sixteen year old wunderkind comes out with an excellent – B+
