Viv Peyrat sounds to these ears like a classic rocker with a modern hook bent! Here are his answers to five question posed to him with his suitable for streaming debut EP The Introduction. Here Viv answers five questions.)

Who is Viv Peyrat (of Viv And The Revival)?

1. I’m a musician who was born in Paris, and raised in Philadelphia. I’ve been in bands since I was 16, and I’ve just released my first record “The Introduction” on Universal Republic Records.

What is the secret to writing a sync-worthy song? (His signature track “I Want It” has been featured in multiple campaigns including Verizon’s Faces campaign, MTV, VH1, ESPN, WWE and currently on EPIX)

2. The secret is that you can’t focus on trying to get a sync. You just have to write a great song. I love writing songs with hooks that people can sing, and as long as you write a catchy hook, then you have yourself a sync worthy song!

Tell me about your debut release “The Introduction,”

3. I spent a lot of time with the songs on my debut release. They’re all from different moments in my life, but they each mean so much to me in their own way. It’s a pretty eclectic pop rock record, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

What does the spirit of CBGBs mean to you?

4.To me, the spirit of CBGB’s means just forging your own path in the world, and not caring what anyone says or thinks of it. It’s an attitude and an idea that you can do whatever you set your mind to.

What would you like future generations to take away from your music?

5. I want future generations to just be able to relate and connect to my music. I think good music is timeless and I hope that my music can live forever.
