1. Fire – Viv And The Revival – Imagine if Jefferson Starship were really, really Jefferson Airplane, and you will get close to this anthem. “This is for the wild ones, this is for the hearts that never quit” Viv sings, and recently signed to Republic Records, not quitting has apparently paid off big – B+

3. All Shook Down – The Replacements – A truly terrific song from the bastard of young runt of the litter album of the same name – A
4. Cry To Laugh – Blake Mills – A sweet soft-loud arrangement keeps you listening to the end on this blues lick track – B+
5. Loyal – Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Tyga – It feels like Brown’s gift is to be able to mind meld with rap without losing his r&b essence. Superb song – A
6. Didn’t Your Mama Tell You – Alexandra And The Starlight – Man, this woman can channel her inner Janis Joplin – A-
7. Lookin’ For That Girl – Tim McGraw – Okay, I guess I don’t like the album after album; two good songs is two more than usual but not enough – C-
8. Not On Drugs – Tove Lo – Smart and catchy modern pop but not much more – B
9. New Love – Maroon 5 – Look, if you like M5 you like M5 you’ll like this and if you don’t you won’t but forwhat they do, it is another fine song – B+
