I Put A Spell on You – Annie Lennox – wow, this woman’s pipes are something else again, a beautiful powerful and full of character sound at service to a great song with a fine bluesy topnotch band…plus I am so happy to hear from her…but why bother? – B

Something Wicked This way Comes – Lucinda Williams – Nice growl but the song is a little weak – B-

Blockbuster Night Part 1 – Run The Jewels – Enough already, time for Killer Mike to go solo again. It’s not that it doesn’t sound good but that it is minor – B-

She Knows – Ne-Yo, Juicy J – Ne-Yo was gonna be the best singerof his generation but got derailed with lame material like this – C+

Timebomb – Tove Love – Swedish popster and buddies with last year’s model Icona Pop delivers a great song  about romantic limitations – A-

bumblebee -Kasabian – Mainstream UK rock, all bluff and bluster and Primal Scream – B

Heroes (we could be) – Alesso – Unbearable but could be a smash hit EDM pop fluff – C-

Monument (The Inevitable End Version) – Robyn And Royskopp – Thundering and jumped up like a caffeine jag – B

Tell You (Today) – Robyn – She’s still got it, earworm of the first order sounds like Motown goes Swedish pop, great horns  – B+

Feels Like Vegas – Tinashe – Obvious but sexy enough – B-

The Perfect Parts – Shakey Graves – Pretty good American blues – B

Sundaze – Florida Georgia Line – I can’t even begin to express how unhappy this feel happy song makes me… especially the whistling… – D+

Light Years Away – Oliver – Experimental sound modulations and then beats beats beats – B

Wish Me Luck – Chuck Prophet – Luck – C

Surrender – Cash Cash – Very ordinary from a band usually capable of more than this – B-

Hearts Of Fire – Black veil Notch – Nothing much but we did interview em – B

In Your Arms – Nico & Vinz – Yeah, this one won’t do it but it ain’t awful – B
