Yes folks, of course I got a ticket for Ryan Adams November 22nd gig at Hammerstein Ballroom, despite my less than complete joy and tidings of great joy and my disappointed in his Carnegie hall concert from a coupla years ago. But his Newport festival set was pretty electric and his mood is so pleasant you just wanna hug, well, you wanna hug Mandy Moore but that’s despite the point. He is also playing on the Sunday, November 23rd. And just outta interest I went to check if it is sold out and Saturday is just about gone and Sunday not so much. He is a recent setlist and I was gonna review the songs but I ran out of time so I just included the Spotify setlist.
So what do we make of the setlist? Quite a bit from the new one, a handful of oldies, some obscurities, tons of stuff I want to hear but he won’t be playing. Tracks off that double that wasn’t a double with Cardinals. “Oh My Sweet Carolina” as close to a must play as there is. Personal fave “Crossed Out Name”.
