Can’t Give You Anything But Love – Tony Bennett And Lady Gaga – Not the epic disaster of “Anything Goes” mostly because Gaga gets a little muscle into her verses but otherwise an incredible waste of energy and the death knell to what remains of Gaga’s once earth shattering career. 6. Almost Like The Blues – Leonard Cohen – A latter day Cohen masterpiece. I would claim only Dylan has written so consistently over so many years – A
7. Summer Noon – Tweedy – Should call themselves Twerpy – C-
8. My Wrecking Ball – Ryan Adams – Sounds like it jumped off Demolition – B+
9. April’s Bathroom Bummer – Devonte Hynes – A true beauty off a remarkable soundtrack – A-
10. Custer – Steve Earle, Milk Carton Kids – Now I’ve heard Johnny’s original, Earle coulda done a better job on the melody, but is still very credible – A-
