A-Trak Brings Cam'ron To The Dance
A-Trak Brings Cam’ron To The Dance

A-Trak would be worth catching if only because he is half of the awesome Duck Sauce EDM collaboration, but the DJ, Producer,  record label (Fool’s Gold) is one of the great DJs, at home with rap and dance and just about every form of modern EDM. A-Trak is playing Terminal 5 on Saturday and for once all the caveats about the dreaded club don’t really apply; a cavernous airplane hangar is exactly what you want for a rave Cam’ron is opening!

Monday – Steel Panther – Irving Plaza – Heavy metal 80s band parody but I betcha woulda had troublefiguring that out if I hadn’t told ya.

Tuesday – Total Slacker – Studio At Webster Hall –  Back after the tragic death of drummer Terence Connor, their album last year was really good trancelike pop psychedelia and they are very good live.

Wednesday – David Lindley – Iridium – The hugely gifted musician wowed our writer Kim Gisborne , but don’t let him off stage without “Mercury Blues”.

Wednesday – moe – Stage 48 – They’ve been doing their melodic jams longer than you’ve been alive or at least since 1990 and the perennial kid brother of jam bands are still better than the moniker suggests.

Friday – Good Morning America Presents 50 Cents – Eh, OK. Sure, why not.

Saturday – Sheila E – BB Kings – Still living the glamorous life
