1. Fancy – Iggy Azalea – Addictive edm rap mash up with a strong rap and the always charming Charli XCX, when you’re hot your hot – A-

2. Home – Naughty Boy, Roman – The killer track off Naughty Boy’s excellent new neo-soul UK style is the ballad Avicii didn’t manage on True – A

3. Problem – Ariande Grande – Iggy provides the rap on this extremely smart pop song with a hook on a hook on a hook – A

4. All Of Me – John Legend – This is simply a terrible song, I don’t have the slightest idea why a song with a line as weak as “I love all your imperfections” is not tarred and feathered – D-

5. I’ll String Along With You – Nat King Cole – Compare this line to the one above, “the human little faults you do have just makes me love you more” – A+

6. Kanye West – Atmosphere – “Put your hands in the air like you really do care…?” . Lost love song but it as useful as its central metaphor – D+

7. Girl – Jamie xx – “The most beautiful girl in Hackney you know…” a disembodied voice tells us before a lo fi wave of synths and echoes leads us to the promised land – B+

8. Rebellious Jukebox – The Fall – As great a concept as you’ll ever hear, the jukebox itself can’t take what’s playing – A

9. First Day Of Spring – The Horrors – Like JAMC without the feedback – B+

10. Broken Heart – Sarah Mclachlan – I wish I could do this justice… “We are just drops of rain here for a little while… goes the first line – D
