1. Paper That House – Fucked Up – Every song these guys play sound the same as the one before em because every song gives it up to lead singer Damian Abraham. For good reason, and this is a fine song though it sure ain’t as good as “The Recursive Girl”. Not close – B+

2. Sweetheart Like You – Craig Finn – Proof that Craig can really sing when he is in the mood, also proof that “the cute hat” line is a keeper for all time – A

3. Whenever You’re Readdy (We’ll Go Steady Again) – Elton John – New Orleans boogie, flip side to “Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting” – A-

4. Alive With The Glory Of Love – Say Anything – What’s with the “Twist And SHout” intro? – B

5. Watch The Walls Melt Down – Matisyahu – Inspired use of horns as the lead instrument – B

6. Fever – The Black Keys – Not much going on here, I guess the pumped up organ is a wrinkle – C-

7. Me And Those Dreamin’ Eyes Of Mine – D’Angelo – Best song title ever – A-

8. Seasons (Waiting For You) – Future Islands – Soulful electronic pop – B+

9. Monument Park –  The Baseball Project – The luyrics on this project are too prosaic to work, and while this isn’t unpleasant it doesn’t feel like a song really – C+

10. Things – Robbie Williams And Jane Horrocks – I went in search of the perfect version and this ain’t it, much closer to the Nancy and Dean version than the Darin – C
