Morrisseys Pants At The Nobel Peace Prize Concert

Moz is the same everywhere

Let’s start this off with Morrissey giant pants.  Many people wish they could fill his shoes.. but no one..nobody will ever fill those pants.  Ann Demeuelemeeter  gets mad props for these luxe pantalones and ayyy it’s nice to see the Dries Van Noten zip front shirt back in circulation.. and not to get all GQ but…..’sup with the jewelz Mozzer?

The three song performance for Peace was an interesting choice.  Starting with ‘People Are The Same Everywhere’, the mighty quiff is appears in great health with nice strong pipes and the ever present over expressive (and beautiful) face. The band sporting ‘Hustler’ t’s are right on target and the crowd….appears lifeless heads.  Granted we wouldn’t expect the huggers to be thrown on stage in an event such as this but you’d think Sid Vicious was singing my way with the deadpan faces.  I’d love to punch them all- how dare they appear so blase’ at such a rare opportunity!!

Following with “Satellite of Love’, please don’t let this be a new ‘signature tune’.  Although I love it, I’d prefer to not hear it at every showing.  See covers make you think to the original and my disdain for Lou Reed totally tarnishes this one.  I like the blessing himself at the end of the tune.  Suppose that was a RIP Louie move but that’s just a guess.  Again in case you didnt know- Morrissey doesnt like TV.

Closing with “Irish Blood English Heart” was a nice politco nod.  A strange sort of closure but Morrissey is Morrissey so let him do whatever he wants.  Have I mentioned how beautiful he is?  I have no idea what his future holds.  Mary Magpie and I have figured out a sure fire way of how to launch ourselves onto his stage at shows end for the infamous hug Moz show ending.  It involves modified slingshots and some tall people from the crowd willing to lend a hand.

He seemed to weather the rigors of three songs well.  Light on his feet and doing his signature odd jerky dance thing- I would pay to see a three song concert if that’s his tolerance limit these days.
