Ronnie Radke has created a pretty bad image for himself. The charismatic but trigger tempered leader of faux core band Falling In Reverse is pretty well hated. After being released from jail on charges related to a murder he hits the road with a new band and kicks his fans asses like its his job. He’s no GG Alin, he isn’t that cool. He is just a sad man who needs help and whose shelf life is as long as a slice of white bread. But he looks good and he has the walk.
Craig Mabbit lead singer of Escape The Fate holds Ronnie’s old job. See Radke used to be the lead singer of ETF before he got all cray so to speak. Mabbit is a bore, predictable and steady with no real scandal I could find. The few times I have encountered him he’s been the mild mannered regular Joe goofing around side stage or cordially meeting fans.
So imagine my surprise to hear they’re touring together. I predict some sort of scandal along the way. Unless Radke is on the correct meds the guy is inevitably going to flip out about something so you’ve been warned.
If they can hold it together it could be a fun show. Both Escape The Fate and Falling in Reverse are down graded to parody bands. Their fans are the reclusive angsty kids who shop at Hot Topic and play way too many video games. I have to say though, ETF was awesome, they just got stagnant.
If nothing better comes along I’ll go check it out. Here are the local dates- tickets on sale now.
