There is nothing worse than ‘the new kid’ getting all smug and bitchy. That being said I have a new disdain for the band KISS. Let’s face it we are one of the few sites that still report on these relics and well this is just an idiotic statement from a guy who really should just shut up and be thankful for having the job.
Step up Eric Singer is bitching about fans who prefer the original line up. What a good fill in would do is keep his mouth shut and do the job but this is what happens when an ego is bigger than a brain- you come across as a pissy little schoolgirl.
He tells Radio Nova: “The people that want to complain about ‘I don’t like this,’ or ‘I don’t like that,’ ‘They should play this song,’ or ‘I only want the original band…’ The bottom line is: this is how Kiss exists right now, in 2013. Be glad there’s some version of Kiss and that we’re out there touring.
“We have just as much passion and case just as much as the band ever did or ever could. That’s what counts. If we didn’t, we wouldn’t be here. I mean, Gene and Paul don’t need the money; they don’t need to do this. They do it because they love doing it.”
Raise your hand if you think this is the most fucked up statement from a someone who shouldn’t be allowed to speak. Really Gene put a leash on your dog..errr, cat.
Eric Singer has done nothing but replicate since his first stint with the band in 1991. There is no creative injection there is karaoke. KISS fans have a right to say whatever they please- and perhaps Singer receives such negative opinion not for the fact that he is a replacement member but because he is an arrogant wind bag
