I love the idea of the rock and roll camp its just the smarmy sales pitch the site offers that I find offensive. it really is a fanatics dream come true or a corporate fun time- but I question Beck and Wilson.. WHY? I'd like to think they both find it amusing more than anything else.
What you get for your green is learning, writing, recording and performing alongside legendary rockers. Campers will get to attend master classes, write and record an original song, and perform a live concert at the Rouge Lounge inside the MGM Grand. The camp wraps up with an intimate, private concert by Brian Wilson and the band. They say that space is limited but there is no indication of how many fools that means.
Oh for $800.00 you can bring your spouse and for $500 additional you can have someone photograph you paparazzi style. Not making this up.
Just a heads up, neither Beck nor Wilson will be teaching you- you'll be taught by a real 'rock star counselor'
