"Using hateful language, regardless of the context, is unacceptable and in fact, very serious…" Really? I don't quite see it,. A quick listen to Tyler for one will find a man at war with his baser instincts (it is a Green Goblin story) but even if it wasn't, thoughts aren't actions.
I am of Lebanese descent, I don't care if you call me a motherfucking camel humper. It doesn't effect me or bother me. You can wish I was dead before you can punch me on the arm.
I have had fights because I look Jewish and have had to defend myself. That's different.
Perhaps some people listen to Tyler and think "I wanna kill homosexuals". In that case, the problem is with the people and not with Tyler. There is a "Parental Label" on the album and tracks. It is not Tylers job to police your fucking kids.
Take responsibility.
And if you have a child, or you yourself, thinking beating gay men is alright, and you do it, if you get caught you will go to jail.
Neither Tegan and Sara nor GLAAD have anything to worry about.
