I'm a huge Fratellis fan. Sad sad sad that I never saw them live. They cancelled a local gig years ago due to some family issues and well..shit happens and poof…they're gone.
What a great surprise to find that Jon Fratelli has gotten back in the groove! Take a peek at his new solo release "Santo Domingo". Love it? Yes, yes I do.
If its not the simplistic melody its the distinct voice that feels right when the volume is on high. Less punky more poppy and its just as well, its not exactly a maturity but more of a calming down Something we all should do now and then.
An absolute thumbs up without reservation and I am really looking out for more from him.
Its a happy ditty without the constraints of message or angst. Love this video as well,symbolic and Jon wanders the world alone, solo style.
