Henry Rollins And His Wad Of Dough

We have covered Henry Rollins:50, the spoken word tour in celebration of Rollins 50th birthday.  The show has amazing stories of triumph and experience.  A bit of reminiscing but more looking forward in a pro active stance to improve our world for the next generation.

In a showing of actions speak louder than words, Rollins is handing out cash.  Seems Hank received quite a few complaints about how the ticket prices to his shows have been rising fast. After some research, Henry realized that there was a technical error with the ticket agent, causing an additional $10 to be charged on top of the original agreed upon price. At the Toronto show, Henry brought out a wad of $10 bills and personally handed one to each and every person in attendance.

Yup, he didn't just say hey.. sorry about that".  He didn't offer a coupon off his merch.  He gave you back ten bucks cuz you got ripped off.

This is a simple but interesting view into the integrity of this angry old guy.    Artists can whimper that costs are high and do nothing or attempt to make things right on the next tour with cheap seat promotions but how many performers have handed you dough?   Yeah, none.

What a great example set, even if just a publicity showing (it could have been more discreetly done), but then again this is a great and positive message that should be brought to light.
